Be it ever so humble...

...there's no place like home, and for all the sights we saw or didn't get to see (if only there had been more time), it's nice to be back. One could perhaps wish for an building as grand as Notre Dame...

Notre Dame

...but I bet the upkeep is horrible. Think I'll stick with our cozy little church.

St. Bartholomew's

Besides, we don't have the problem of conducting services while tourists are circulating noisily inside the building!

Don't get me started! My biggest problem with Paris is that ALL their thermostats seem to be stuck somewhere around 78F, whereas my house is at a pleasantly comfortable 64F (winter, occupied).

I have been to Paris twice. The first time they were cleaning the bottom of the facade of ND and it was covered in scaffold. The second time they were at the top half and it was covered with scaffolding. It is nice to see it actually CLEAN!

    Yes, the tourists are annoying.

Twice -- we are going to have to return. One day was (obviusly) not enough.
